I am 26 years old and have had people asking...no telling me that I need to drive a car, yet I have been successful in my life without one. I love the extra exercise I get, I have a spouse and friends who drive and live a full life without owning a car. The only people who have ever given me trouble about it are my family. The enviroment just doesn't need anymore cars and I don't feel that it is worth it to pay the extra expenses expecially given the benefits I am recieving from the exercise of walking/bicycling. I know people who drive everywhere, even if it's just down the street and they are all overweight and generally unhealthy. Sorry, if I have to work a little harder to not be like that so be it.

I just stumbled upon this forum and would like to thank you all for giving me confirmation that I am not insane and can continue to live my fufilling life without a car
